Suspension Techniques: In the tradition of Peugeot 308 series, Aluminium has been used widely in the front suspension to reduce the vehicle's overall weight. This set up helps in exceptional road holding, excellent steering accuracy and great feedback and this is the major reasons that enhances the driving experience. The rear suspension, derived from the hatchback, consists of a torsion- beam, two rear suspension arms and an integral anti-roll bar.
Wheel Specifications: The wheels have been specially modified to take account of the wider vehicle tracks. Indeed the front and rear tracks have been increased by 59 mm, compared to the hatchback and also the wider tires ensures maximum body rigidity, precision and vehicle stability. The 19 inch polished rim alloy wheels are fitted with ventilated disc brakes of 360 mm diameter and Michelin Pilot Sport PS2 245/40 R19 tires.
Steering Mechanism: The Front Wheel Drive variable assistance is controlled by a hydraulic electro-pump unit where the assistance varies according to vehicle speed, the speed of rotation of the steering wheel and the temperature of the power steering fluid.
